Freshman Essay Evaluation Procedures

Please print this page before you start to register.

1. Go to the Online Essay Evaluation Page.
2. Login by entering your MIT ID Number in both the "Login" and "Password" boxes. Note: you will NOT use your Kerberos login for the FEE. Your 9-digit MIT ID Number is your login ID.
3. You will be required to change your password.  Write down your new password and keep it in a safe place. 
4. Register for the June or July Essay Evaluation by the date and time specified on the deadlines page.
5. Enter your email address
6. Under "Edit Biographical Information", enter a phone number where you can be reached during the exam period.
7. Access the readings through Online Essay Evaluation site at the specified date and time.
   

   Note: Once you access the readings you cannot re-register for another Online Essay Evaluation.  If you do not complete the Evaluation you will be required to take the make-up FEE during Orientation.

8. Access the questions for the two essays through the Online Essay Evaluation site at the specified date and time.
9. Write your essays without assistance from anyone.
10. Submit your two essays through the Online Essay Evaluation site before the specified deadline.
