Shannon Larkin may be the graduate administrator of the Science Writing program, but she is better known as the Mother Hen. She is as adept with a kleenex box and a cup of tea as she is an add/drop form. In her non-MIT time, Shannon is a professional singer with the Handel and Haydn society, an occasional target shooter, and a (real) mother to a eleven-year old boy.

Magdaléna is the Administrative Officer in the Writing Program. She loves to bike to work along the Charles river. Outside her work Magdaléna coaches the Newton Girls Soccer team "Jaguars". In winter she trains her two kids to be the next Body Millers on the New England ski slopes, or devours the exceptional works published by WHS writers.
